When Al Ajeer Recruitment Company (ARCO) was authorized in 2013 by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, its goal was to provide skilled and train talent across all specialties for all economic entities in Saudi Arabia’s public and private sectors. Fast forward 5 years, ARCO grew and expanded from one branch to 16 branches across the Kingdom with the mission to contribute to the development of society, and ease the hassle for owners of enterprises when it comes to the supply and training of human resources.
Today ARCO is a leader in Saudi Arabia in the field of labour services and recruitment, and the key contibuter to their success is their decision to embrace digital while as the same time aligning to the Saudi Vision 2030.
Embracing Digital to Attract New Business
The staffing industry has come leaps and bounds in the last few years. The progress in technology has affected the way companies are going about their business, from sourcing candiates to attracting business development apportunities, and ARCO is no different. They had to adapt to this ever changing world and embrace these new techonologies by identifying that going digital was no longer an option but rather a must to survive and stay competitive in the market. “We switched to digital since 2016 to make it easy for our customers to reach us. We developed and launched our website and application for creating contracts, pricing, services, and customer services for both private and public sectors and we quickly witnessed over 100% increase in contracts, over 25,000 monthly average website visitors, and over 20,000 transactions” explains Dr Faisal Mohammad Alwalan, CEO at ARCO.
But being found by customers wasn’t enough, they needed to find a way to raise awareness about their business and acquire new clients; and that’s when they turned to LinkedIn.

LinkedIn gave ARCO the opportunity to tap into a completely new way of approaching business development as a company, and the results that followed speak for themselves. ARCO has seen over 1000% increase in followers since December 2017 (65% of them being decision makers), over 2,000 monthly average page visitors, and a 7X Talent Brand Index increase to 41%.

Aligning to Saudi Vision 2030 to Attract New Talent to the Kingdom
“When Saudi Vision 2030 was announced, we realized how important it was for ARCO to play its role in contributing to the country reaching these goals. We aligned our company’s goals as a result, taking into consideration Saudi Vision 2030, the National Transformation Program, as well as further objectives and initiatives of the Ministry of Labor” says Dr Faisal Mohammad Alwalan.
ARCO worked to contribute in enhancing the Kingdom’s reputation as an attractive work environment for local and international talent. They did this by making sure companies are offering fair salaries, lodging, health insurance, life insurance, flight tickets, transportation and end of service benefits. These have all been set up with the intention of increasing Saudi market movement and in turn helping the economy to flourish.
Diversity and Inclusion is a big part of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly gender diversity in the workforce by increasing woman participation in the workforce from 22% to 30%.
“At ARCO, we believe in diversity and inclusion where Saudis and non-Saudis are working together under professional and friendly work atmospheres. We have over 150 employees where 60% are Saudis and 40% are non-Saudis, with a gender balance consideration of a mix of male and female.”

Another pillar of the vision is Youth empowerement. Saudi youth is a business nerve at ARCO. The company considers that the future of the country lies in the hands of the youth.
